Expression
Aminooxy-Biotin
Description & Target
Aminooxy-biotin can be used to covalently attach biotin to a molecule with an aldehyde or ketone group. The aminooxy group reacts with an aldehyde or ketone group to form a stable oxime linkage in an aqueous solution at neutral pH. The reaction is fast and can be further accelerated by adding aniline as a catalyst. Thus, aminooxy reagents are superior to hydrazide reagents, which also react with aldehydes or ketones but form unstable hydrazone linkages.

Annexin V, Allophycocyanin Crosslinked Conjugate (100 assays)
Description & Target
Annexin V conjugated to Allophycocyanin (APC) can be used to detect apoptotic cells by flow cytometry. The human anticoagulant Annexin V is a 35-36 kDa calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding protein with high affinity for phosphatidylserine (PS). In normal viable cells, PS is located on the inner leaflet of the cytoplasmic membrane. In apoptotic cells, however, PS is translocated from the inner to the outer leaflet of the plasma membrane, where it can be detected by fluorescently labeled Annexin V.
