DI-4-ANEPPS
Descrition & Target
Di-4-ANEPPS is a fast-responding membrane potential dye. Changes in the membrane potential of the cell correlate with changes in the fluorescence excitation intensity of the dye.

DI-8-ANEPPS
Descrition & Target
ANEPPS dyes are fast responding membrane potential dyes. 9689c5aa-6556-4b3c-b5d1-1e693715ba07 offers both Di-4-ANEPPS and Di-8-ANEPPS. Di-4-ANEPPS has the problem of being internalized in cells over long-term, so it is mainly used for short-term experiments. However, because Di-8-ANEPPS is more lipophilic, the dye is better retained in the outer leaflet of cell plasma membranes and thus more suitable for long-term membrane potential studies. Di-8-ANEPPS is also more photostable and less phototoxic than Di-4-ANEPPS.

DIA
Descrition & Target
DiA 4-(4-Dihexadecylaminostyryl)-N-methylpyridinium iodide) is a green fluorescent membrane dye which diffuses much faster than DiO in cell membranes. DiA and DiI have been used together for two color membrane staining.

DIBAC4(3)
Descrition & Target
DiBAC4(3) (Bis-(1,3-Dibarbituric acid)-trimethine oxanol) is a so-called translational membrane potential dye that redistributes within the cell membrane when membrane potential changes. The fluorescence of the dye is enhanced when the dye enters the cell membrane as a result of membrane depolarization. The rate of fluorescence response of the dye to membrane potential change is usually slower than that of the styryl dye di-4-ANEPPS, but the fluorescence signal change for the former is significantly larger than for the latter dye. DiBAC4(3) has applications in high-throughput drug screening.

DID (DIIC18(5))
Descrition & Target
DiD (DiIC18(5); 1,1'-dioctadecyl-3,3,3',3'- tetramethylindodicarbocyanine, 4-chlorobenzenesulfonate salt) is a lipophilic carbocyanine dye similar to DiI, but with longer absorption and emission wavelengths. DiR, DiD, DiI and Neuro-DiO can be used in combination for multicolor imaging. DiD is also available in CellBrite™ Red, a ready-to-use cell labeling solution.
